Shikang^® Apixaban Tablets are an oral, potent, and highly selective direct Factor Xa inhibitor. They are pharmaceutically equivalent and bioequivalent to the original branded drug and passed generic drug consistency evaluation. Approved in May 2020, they are indicated for adult patients undergoing elective hip or knee replacement surgery to prevent venous thromboembolism (VTE). Shikang^® offers steady anticoagulation and easy administration. It is currently the only new oral anticoagulant (NOAC) recommended by both domestic and international guidelines that starts dosing 12–24 hours post-surgery and shows a trend toward reduced bleeding risk.
